For 18 years, Campfire Circle has been part of our family’s heartbeat — a place where kids with cancer and serious illness get the chance to just be kids. We’ve supported this incredible organization every year through donations, events, and community efforts, because we believe in what they do: creating magic, joy, and healing through camp.
This summer, I’m turning 50. And instead of JUST throwing a party, I’m putting my full head of hair on the line — literally.
If we raise $100,000 for Campfire Circle by the big night, I’ll sit in a barber’s chair and let the crowd shave me bald. Every dollar goes to giving these kids a break from hospital rooms and a chance to laugh, play, and feel free.
Now let’s be honest — this isn’t just any head of hair. Over the years, it’s become something of a personal trademark. While many of my friends have gracefully embraced baldness or buzz cuts, my hair has somehow survived the test of time. It’s sparked jokes, many jokes, comments, laughter, some envy, and admiration — and in a way, it’s become part of how people recognize me. Letting it go, even for a cause, is no small move… which makes this challenge all the more meaningful.
It’s a fun, bold way to mark a milestone — and more importantly, it’s a chance to make a real difference. So let’s do something awesome together.
